Strehla to just before Pirna (through Dresden)
A beautiful sunny day,nice group of people at the hostel last night, including a family cycling,and Suzanne who was doing a long distance walk from Berlin going west.
Easy day just following the cycle route along the Elbe. Some industrial architecture as one would expect,old and new,including a steel works. In 2002 there was a big flood,so a lot of dykes’ and flood prevention measures have been taken
Easter Friday so shops are shut and people are off work.So no problems with cars but loads of people on the cycle path. Families with young children,racing cyclists,rollerbladers, joggers and people pushing prams. Great to ser so many people out.
Then about 10 miles past Dresden, what do I see but an open campsite. A very good one as well with washing machine and a kitchen, plus a helpful manager.
