Saturday 13th April. 46 miles

To Goslar. An amazing UNESCO World Heritage Site.A town filled with timber buildings. The approach made me think of Strathpeffer because on the edge are those large houses of the kind you get in spa resorts. The hostel I am staying in is in one such building. It seems to have stairs all over the place. Loads of museums-one to mining iron ore; a palace; loads of old churches ;cobbled squares and town walls. I had a good look around in the sleet/snow. Actually I was searching for a supermarket to get supplies today as they are closed on Sunday .
Today’s sleet was actually warmer than the wind which I have been having, so not a bad cycle. Not,however, a night for camping out. Slightly annoyed that the warden would not find a place for my bike inside, loads of corners it could have gone in.Instead have had to leave it locked outside, getting wet!
