Sunday 29th.April 53 miles cycling

Cycled into Brno. Quiet because early Sunday morning. With my plan to get the train out I found my way to the main train station, only to be told that due to maintenance work all local trains were departing from a place about a mile away. Now the station did look like a building site. Gold medal to the young guy behind the counter- he drew me an amazing map to reach said station. This took me through a shopping centre, over walkways, past a bus station and got me to the local train departing point.
So it was a train to Breclav, which meant I missed cycling through a high rise landscape and some flat farmland.
From Breclav I cycled on the Czech side of the Slovakia border to Hodonín. A nice cycle, initially along a quiet flat main road (Sunday), then through areas with vines, fruit trees and small lanes.
Hodonín appeared high rise and industrial, but I only passed through and visited the supermarket, so might be more to it.
Then I am cycling up the Morava River, a well marked route, but not with much view of the river. Basically it follows the train line going through housing estates and past industrial units. Occasionally you pass old monastery style buildings, sports centres and a canal.
At about 15.30 I was shown a campsite by a local cyclist, but I wanted to go further, So here I am at
Ostrozska Nová Ves. Which has an open campsite in fact it is a bit like a mini holiday park, with zip wires, crazy golf, kids playpark and all!  Only trouble is they also have rooms, for the price difference of under a tenner ( plus I get breakfast) was not worth camping.

No tents or camper vans here but a few families. The girl who checked me in lived in Northern Island for a while....good thing she came for a chat and helped me translate the menu or I might have ended up with pigs trotters for tea.
